Tour begins in Leh, the capital of Ladakh. Live in Leh for a day before setting
out for the forward journey. Visiting Alchi- The oldest Monastery of Leh, Lamaruyu
Monastery - built under Rinchen Zangbo at the end of the 10th century, under orders
from the king of Ladakh , who altogether had 108 Gompas built in west Tibet. Pangong
Lake - This famous blue lake of Pangong is 5-6 km wide and over 144 km long with half
of it running to the other side of the Indo-China border. Khardungla the World's highest
motorable pass.
Tour Itinerary
1 DAY Delhi to Leh(D)
Arrival at Leh airport, to be received by our representative and transferred to the Hotel. Check in to the hotel for a complete day of rest wherein welcome tea and coffee will be served by the Hotel. Post lunch visit Shanti Stupas, Leh Palace and Leh Market . Overnight Leh.
2 DAY : Leh to HEMIS,THIKSEY,SHEY,MATHO (B&D)
Just after the breakfast, HEMIS MONASTERY, THIKSEY MONASTERY, SHEY PALACE, MATHO MONASTERY
Hemis Monastery : This is biggest and the most important monastery in Ladakh. It is
situated 49 kms to south of Leh, a little off the main Leh-Manali road. It was built in the
17th century by Chapgon Gyalshas and ever since has enjoyed the patronage of the
royal family
Thikse Monastery :- Thikse Monastery is a gompa affiliated with the Gelug sect of Tibetan Buddhism. It is located on top of a hill in Thiksey approximately 19 kilometres east of Leh in Ladakh, India.
Shey Monastery :-The Shey Monastery or Gompa and the Shey Palace complex are structures located on a hillock in Shey, 15 kilometres to the south of Leh in Ladakh, northern India on the Leh-Manali road. Shey was the summer capital of Ladakh in the past. It contains a huge Shakyamuni Buddha statue.
Matho Monastery :-Matho Monastery, or Matho Gonpa or Mangtro Monastery or Mangtro Gonpa, from the Tibetan "mang" that means "many" and "tro" that means "happiness", is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery located 26 kilometres southeast of Leh in Ladakh, northern India, on the banks of the Indus River.[1] The village of Matho is located at the mouth of a deep gorge running out of the Zanskar Range and across the Indus. It is directly opposite Thikse Monastery.
3 DAY: Leh - Likir - Alchi - - Leh(B&D)
Today Group will visit Place like Magnatic Hill, Sangam, Pathar Sahib gurudwara, Hall of fame Likir Monastery Alchi Monastery. Today group will visit Alchi and Likir Monasteries. one can see a number of miniaturing paintings depicting Buddha. The Likir monastery has a good collection of clay images of Buddha in different forms, manuscripts and thankas. However, the 1000 years old wall
painting makes your visit more worthwhile. Overnight at Leh.
4 DAY : Leh - Nubra Valley 120 Km / 4-5 hrs(B&D)
After Breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla (Highest Motorable road in the
World, 18,380 ft) arrive turtuk by evening .Turtuk is one of the last
village in the north of Ladakh near Pakistan border. Overnight at Turtuk
5 DAY : Turtuk to Hunder sightseeing in Nubra valley 60 Kms(B&D)
After breakfast drive to Hunder village around 60 kms in between you may see
some village rest of the day one is free to explore Deskit, Hunder Villages and camel Safari
in Sand Dunes between Deskit and Hunder Village. Over night at Hunder
6 DAY : Hunder- panamik -charasa 87Kms / 4-5 hrs(B&D)
After Breakfast Visit Nubra localseeing like:- Panamik HOT SPRING, Entsa Monastery, waterfall MURGI, Charasa Place Overnight at charasa (Organic Home) Homestay.
7 DAY : Charasa- Pangong 260Kms / 6-7 hrs (B&D)
After early Breakfast leave for Pangong Lake (14,500 ft) through Changla Pass 17,350
ft, it is the third highest motorable road in the world. Arrive Pangong, it is the highest
salt water Lake in the World, shared by two countries India & China. Packed or Hot
Lunch will be provided. Enjoy the beauty of the lake on the Banks of pangong while
appreciating the changing Colors and fascinating high altitude of the Lake. Overnight at Pangong.
8 DAY : Pangong- Leh 240Kms /6 -7 hrs(B&D)
